Abstract
In the memoirs Støj og fortielser (Noise and Secrecy) from 2016, journalist and TV presenter Hans Pilgaard is the brutally honest first-person narrator who tells the story of his life, his dreams and his demons. However, even though Pilgaard appears to be the originator of the book, it is actually written by journalist Rikke Hyldgaard. Using their collaboration as an example, in this chapter we demonstrate how the journalistic ghostwriter can create the illusion that a text was written by the source when it was, in fact, written by the journalist.
