Description

Delphi Survey for Neck Pain Research Priorities

Researchers from the Universidade Cidade de São Paulo (Brazil) and The George Institute for Global Health (Australia) invited researches to participate in an online survey. This survey is the first round of a Delphi study that aims to identify and rank the most relevant neck pain research priorities in primary care.

Neck pain is highly prevalent, disabling and costly, making it a major public health problem. Several studies have been performed in patients with neck pain; however, none of these studies have focused on identifying the gaps, the emerging, never or poorly addressed opportunities in this field.

The most important researchers involved in studies related to neck pain in primary care were selected because of their interest in primary care neck pain research, listed by Expertscape or PubMed websites. This is an opportunity to shape an international consensus on priorities for research in this area.
