With a successful international career in the insurance sector spanning over a decade, Dr. Simon Sølvsten established the European Center for Risk & Resilience Studies at the University of Southern Denmark in 2023, driven by a clear mission to "Empower Actions to Shape Tomorrow's Resilience" for organizations and individuals.

Simon has achieved a range of academic accomplishments, including a PhD in Economics from the University of Southern Denmark, an MSc in Economics and Business Administration, a Graduate Diploma in Business Administration, and several certifications, such as Certified Security Manager®, CFPA, electrician, and Certified Security installer. His diverse educational background, along with practical experience, allows him to contribute meaningfully in both academia and the industry.

Simon’s primary research focus revolves around risk financing, and organizational resilience. This dedication to enhancing the comprehension and application of risk management further solidifies his role as a trusted partner in the field.
